The Mary McLeod Bethune Older Adult Center became the most recent COTHOA site in 2016 and has quickly become a vital part of the community.


Join us for:

Breakfast: 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Services:

Case Assistance: We provide assistance to our clients with benefits, entitlements, applications, recertifications as well as referring them to other agencies that will be able to offer assistance.


Billiards: We offer two billiard tables for members to enjoy playing in tournaments.


Chess: We provide two Chess tables which our members can enjoy daily.


Daily low impact bike exercises: We have on-site bikes that members can use anytime.


Dance classes: Weekly class where members learn different types of dances.


Dominoes: We provide two Dominoes tables for our members to enjoy daily.


Health & Nutrition lectures in partnership with other community agencies: Lectures are provided by a certified nutritionist and other health related agencies.


Modern technology classes: Weekly class where members learn to use tablets and cell phones. We also have computers which members can use throughout the day.


Monthly Common Pantry in partnership with NY Common Pantry: This service is provided monthly.


Musical recreation: Daily live music provided by members on a variety of instruments.


Notary services: This free service is provided to older adults over the age of 60.


Table games: A variety of games, puzzles, checkers, cards, etc. are available for our members to enjoy daily.


Tai-Chi classes: Weekly class helping members relax and release stress.


Virtual health promotional, educational, and recreational classes: Held daily via Zoom.


Virtual exercise activities: Designed for members who prefer the comfort of their own home, where they receive virtual VNS exercise classes and health lectures.

Directions:

Subway: Take the A train to 168 Street, the C train to 155 or 163rd Street,or the 1 train to 157 Street.


Bus: Take the M3, M100, & M101 to Amsterdam & 157th Street stop.
